Rubber Duck Race:

By participating in the 2026 Duck Fest – “Rubber Duck” Race (the “Raffle”), entrants agree
to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services (the “Licensee”), which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the Raffle. This Raffle is conducted in accordance with all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations and is licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

NET PROCEEDS: All net proceeds of the Raffle will benefit the Brantford community as directed by Bona Fide Members of the Licensee as part of Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services, (hereafter known as “Committee”) and the children, youth and families it supports. For the purposes of Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services, the raffle proceeds will be used for therapeutic programs and materials not funded by government or required by law to provide. The proceeds will benefit children, youth and families in Brantford, ON.
PRIZES: The total prize pool for the raffle shall be three thousand dollars ($3,000). Prizes shall be awarded to the ticket purchasers who’s uniquely assigned rubber ducks finish the race in first, second, and third place. The duck finishing in first place shall receive one thousand eight hundred dollars ($1,800), the duck finishing in second place shall receive nine hundred dollars ($900), and the duck finishing in third place shall receive three hundred dollars ($300). Tickets purchased for this event are valid solely for this raffle and are not eligible for participation in any other raffle or lottery conducted by the licensee. The total value of all prizes awarded in connection with this raffle shall not exceed three thousand dollars ($3,000).

ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER: During the dates and times and other details specified below, Raffle tickets may be purchased only by persons 18 years or older, in accordance with these Official Rules. Raffle tickets may NOT be purchased by anyone under the age of 18, regardless of location or method of purchase. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the raffle or to win any prize: members of the Board of Directors, directors, employees or volunteers involved in the management or operation of the draw, and bona fide members of the Licensee who are working the raffle or associated gaming event (collectively, the “Ineligible Parties”).

PURCHASING RAFFLE ENTRIES: The following price and corresponding “ticket numbers” are available for purchase: 1 ticket for $5 or 5 tickets for $20. By purchasing a ticket, you consent to having your name and winning numbers published. Purchaser agrees to allow Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services to use purchaser’s name and image without compensation for any promotional activity related to this or any future raffle.

TICKET PURCHASE TIMES: Tickets will be available for purchase online only from June 1, 2026, until 5:00pm on Saturday, July 11, 2026, or until all available tickets have been sold, whichever occurs first.
NUMBER OF RAFFLE TICKETS: A maximum of 3,000 tickets will be sold prior to the race.

“Rubber Duck” Race Rules Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services

THE RACE/DRAW: Winners will be determined by the first, second, and third numbered rubber ducks to cross the official finishing threshold during the race. The finishing threshold consists of a neutral, fixed finish‐line structure that passively records the order in which ducks complete the race without directing, constraining, or otherwise influencing their movement or finishing position. The numbered ducks that cross the finishing threshold in first, second, and third place will be matched to their corresponding ticket numbers to identify the potential winners. Following the race and confirmation of the finishing order, the winning ticket numbers will be announced to those in attendance at Brant’s Crossing Park approximately one (1) hour after the race concludes. The results will also be published on the Woodview website and shared through the organization’s social media channels.
POTENTIAL WINNERS: If a potential winner is not present or does not come forward following one (1) verbal request made at the event, the Licensee will make three (3) attempts to contact the potential winner by phone or email over three (3) consecutive 24-hour periods. If the potential winner does not respond after these three contact attempts, the Licensee will proceed in accordance with the applicable lottery licensing policy. Winners have up to six (6) months from the date of the draw to claim their prize. Any prize not immediately claimed must be secured and placed in safekeeping for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. If the prize remains unclaimed at the end of the six-month period, the prize or an amount equal to the fair market value of the prize shall be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensing authority.
DETERMINATION OF OFFICIAL WINNER(S): To verify the identity of a prize winner, each potential winner shall be required to provide valid proof of purchase, a ticket number that corresponds with the winning entry, and government-issued photo identification. The Licensee reserves the sole and absolute discretion to determine whether a potential winner satisfies all requirements to be confirmed as an official winner (“Official Winner”).
All decisions of the Licensee in connection with eligibility, compliance with these Official Rules, and the determination and confirmation of Official Winners shall be final and binding. To be declared an Official Winner, a potential winner must meet all eligibility criteria and fully comply with these Official Rules and
must not be in breach of any applicable rule or requirement.
AWARD OF PRIZE(S) TO OFFICIAL WINNER(S): The Prize will be awarded to the Potential Winners who has been designated by Licensee as the Official Winners. The Prize will be awarded to the Winners, and the Winners agree that the Licensee will pay the Winners via Cheque within 10 business days of determining Official Winners. The Winners agree that the Licensee shall register their name, contact details, and further agree to sign a form acknowledging receipt of the winning prize.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Released Parties are not responsible for:
• Tickets that are stolen, lost, damaged, illegible, transferred, no longer in the purchaser’s
possession.
• Tickets that have been tampered with or resold in violation of these Official Rules.
• All ticket purchases are final. No refunds or replacements will be issued. The Licensee has the sole and final authority regarding ticket admissibility and prize determinations.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Entrants, by participating in the Raffle, agree that the Licensee, each of their respective, affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, and all of their respective board members, directors, staff, and bona fide members (collectively, the “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability for injuries, losses, cost, expenses or damages of any kind, including damages for death, personal injury, property damage.
